Amyris essential oil from Lilly's Essentials range

It is a natural oil extracted from the leaves and twigs by steam distillation. The West Indian Sandalwood (bot. Amyris Balsamifiera) plants from which the essential oil was distilled were grown in Haiti.

It is an excellent alternative to White Sandalwood Essential Oil as it has a very similar fragrance.

Properties of amyris sandal essential oil

Sandalwood essential oil extracted from the West Indian Sandalwood plant can have a health-promoting effect by showing a relaxing, decongestant action. It also has an anti-stress effect.

Used for aromatherapy:

Applied to the skin:

Ways to use West Indian Sandalwood essential oil

You can also enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy by using oils on the skin. Sandalwood essential oil is one of the few essential oils that can be applied directly to the skin. 

However, always remember to perform an allergy test. You can also use the essential oil after dilution in a carrier oil.

Packaging of Sandalwood essential oil

Sandalwood essential oil is packaged in a dark glass bottle with a glass pipette for easy dosing of the product. The dark glass protects the oil from light. The larger bottle allows the oil to 'breathe' which is very important for natural essential oils. Sandalwood essential oil is sold undiluted.

There is 20ml of oil in the bottle. This is a larger capacity compared to other products on the market. It is an organic essential oil 100%, undiluted with any substances . 

The bottle has a thread suitable for direct connection to the essential oil nebuliser available in our shop.
